March Roundup: Dark Mode, Certification Level 3 & more ✨
The Roundup gives you a 360-degree look at everything Glide's been up to over the last month.
The March Roundup
The momentum was strong in March. We launched Dark Mode, which was packed full of important style enhancements. Certification Level 3 was released, and hundreds of users have already claimed their certifications. We also launched a number of technical guides, covering topics like APIs, SQL, and JSON.
Let's take a look at the highlights...
🌑 Dark Mode is Here
You can now activate Dark Mode on your apps, giving them a visually striking, modern look and feel. This update includes more than just an on/off switch. We've made a series of other subtle but impactful chan/ges to the design system for Glide apps, ranging from the contrast of our color palette to how typography adapts across breakpoints.
Certification Level 3 is here. It's sure to put you through your paces, as it takes you deep into the principles of software design and development! In Level 3, you'll explore big data connections, APIs & custom workflows, security & compliance, and building apps that scale. Upon completion, you'll become fully Glide Certified, and fully prepared to build innovative tools that solve important business problems for yourself, your organization, or your clients.
While Glide helps you build software without code, developing a deeper understanding of the technology that goes into building applications will help you create even more capable, sophisticated tools. Build your knowledge with our comprehensive guides, starting with APIs, JSON, and SQL databases.
We're once again challenging you to complete and share your certification on LinkedIn for a chance to win Glide credit for the team of your choice. To enter the challenge, simply claim your Level 3 before the deadline on March 31st, and share your award on LinkedIn. Full details in the community thread linked below.
As someone who's been building apps for almost 20 years, Miguel is no stranger to software development. And although he's a traditional software—and LEGO—builder, he always found the process of getting even the simplest app off the ground cumbersome, and frustrating. That's when he discovered Glide, and the rest was history. Get to know Miguel, and his no code agency, Grumo, in this month's Expert Spotlight.
There's nothing quite as impactful as bringing a fully distributed team together for in-person events. On the week of March 4th, the Glide Marketing team flew off to Miami beach for a week of strategic planning, deep conversations, and a whole lot of good eatin'. We also had the pleasure of connecting with customers and Experts in the Miami area at a rooftop mixer. This time together helps our team accelerate progress, while creating lifelong awesome memories.
